It has been over a year since I last uploaded an image and to be honest this one is the only one I have managed to finish.

This image is rendered completly in Cinema 4D and 3D Studio Max. The base modeling has all been done in Cinema 4D. Then the models were exported into ZBrush for sculpting and creating the color maps. The head has been rendered in 3D Studio Max 2009 with MentalRay, the rest has been rendered in Cinema 4D, including the hair. Finally the different passes have been put together in Photoshop.

Some other views of the same model as well as a highres version, a version with a different hairstyle, wires, clayrenders and ZBrush views can be seen at my homepage. [http://www.patrickeischen.com/gallery.php]

Hope you like it.
Cinema's own Hair module has been used for adding the beard and hair. I used the Vreel Skin Shader as material. I didn't do much in Photoshop. I just did some minor color correction, DOF, added the Ambient Occlusion Pass on top if the image, tweeked the eyes and added some grain and that's it.

Render times with the Vreel Skin Shader active: 1h30min
A small WIP with some test renders and screen caps of the face textures can be found on my website [http://www.patrickeischen.com]
It started as an ZBrush texturing exercise and ended up in this image.

The base mesh is modeled in Cinema 4D, all textures are made with ZBrush by projecting photographs. The clothes have been rendered in Cinema whereas ZBrush's renderer has been used for the face. I composed both renderes later in Photoshop. I also rendered multiple passes of the image to have more control over the shader properties.

The tiny little hair on the ear and back are done with Cinema hair

For the face texture, I think I used not less than 10 reference images from www.3d.sk.
The Grass and the dandelions are all made with "hair" only. No painted parts or photos in this image. The pig and the ladybug are models I made a few months ago.

Rendertime was not so long, 1/2 hour, if I'm not misstaken... I couldn't believe that the hair module is that fast.

Btw, I did this image with the demo version of the hair module which has the saving function disabled, so I had to make the image in one day. The computer crashed two times, so I had to restart several times

From the Ferrari Homepage (www.ferrariworld.com):
The F2004, given the name 655, represents an evolution of the F2003-GA. All of the main parts of the car were revised with the aim of getting the maximum levels of performance from the 053 engine and the Bridgestone tyres. the 053 engine was created to be as reliable as possible as the new rules stipulated that it had to last twice as long as its predecessor: an engine race weekend. All this while also trying to up the performance.

Just one thing that I noticed: The propellers seam to be to small compared to the fuselage of the plane, but they have exactly the same dimensions as on the reference images. So I think this is due to motion blurring Maybe I'll fix that one day.
At the moment I'm working on a third plane, a Messerschmitt 109a
Enjoy,
